What does a Screwdriver, a Bloody Mary and Sex on the Beach have in common? All three are iconic cocktails that contain vodka as a main ingredient. Iconic appeal is also the ambition of Russian Alcohol Siberian Group (ASG), one of the world’s leading vodka manufacturers—and a primary reason why the company started a digital transformation process.

The Recipe to Becoming Russia’s Largest Distillery

Alcohol Siberian Group is a Moscow based spirits manufacturer that produces vodkas, liquors, and bitters. LONDON (Reuters) – A group of seven major central banks including the U.S. Federal Reserve set out on Friday how a digital currency could look like to help catch up with China’s “trail blazing” and leapfrog private projects like Facebook Inc’s FB.O Libra stablecoin.

The central banks and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), said core features should include resilience, availability at low or no cost, appropriate standards and clear legal framework, and an appropriate role for the private sector.

Bank of England (BoE) Deputy Governor and chair of a BIS committee on payments Jon Cunliffe said the rise in cashless payments since lockdowns to fight the pandemic has accelerated how technology is changing forms of money.

A group of Black Atlanta businessmen, politicians and entertainers — including former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young, the entertainer Michael Render (better known as Killer Mike) and Bounce TV founder Ryan Glover — have launched a new digital bank focused on developing and promoting local communities and cultivating Black and Latinx entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Named Greenwood in an homage to the thriving Tulsa, Okla., business community known as “Black Wall Street” that was destroyed by white rioters in 1921, the digital bank has several features designed to promote social causes and organizations for the Black and Latinx community.

For every sign-up to the bank, Greenwood will donate the equivalent of five free meals to an organization addressing food insecurity. And every time a customer uses a Greenwood debit card, the bank will make a donation to either the United Negro College Fund, Goodr (an organization that addresses food insecurity) or

  • Ads from politicians and campaigns accounted for at least 3% of Facebook’s estimated third-quarter U.S. revenue, according to data from Facebook’s ad library and the Center for Responsive Politics.
  • Google has dramatically limited targeting for political ads and Twitter banned them altogether, leaving Facebook as the only game in town for many campaigns.
  • “For better or worse — mostly worse — Facebook is the de facto place you go,” said Nick Fitz, CEO of online donations site Momentum, which powers the Defeat by Tweet campaign.

Ladbrokes and Bwin owner, GVC Holdings (GVC.L), has raised its outlook for annual core earnings after posting a 12% rise in third quarter revenue, helped by the dramatic growth in online gaming and the restarting of major sporting events such as the English Premier League.

The company, which owns brands such as Coral and Eurobet, said full-year earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) is now expected between £770m ($917.91m) and £790m.

Previously, GVC had forecast annual earnings to be between £720m and £740m.

Online gaming volumes have resumed to pre-COVID-19 levels, the company said in a statement on Thursday, reflecting the “strength and diversity of our business model.”

This $120 Digital Air Fryer is just $50, proving that money is just imaginary

October 7, 2020

Simultaneously a searing indictment of the supposed invisible hand of the market and capable of searing your tuna steaks, this digital air fryer – which normally runs $119.99 at Best Buy – has been reduced to a paltry $49.99. Naturally, an abrupt shift in price this large should cause you to question to the objective value of all currency, and whether capitalism is just a lie we tell ourselves to justify our avarice and materialism. Let’s discuss it over seared tuna steaks.

Air fryers are great for crisping your food quickly and without oil, creating flavors of salty crispness that humans evolved to crave over millions of years of surviving on diets where such flavors signaled then-scarce ingredients like salt and fat.

Our instinctive urge to amass wealth came from similar feelings of scarcity, and though these instincts propelled us to discover fire, invent early forms of government, and eventually

SINGAPORE – Some of the world’s biggest banks in commodity trade financing are creating a digital trade finance registry in Singapore to try and mitigate the risk of trade fraud and boost transparency after losing billions of dollars due to a spate of defaults.

Banks have reduced their commodities business this year to cut risk following collapses, including that of Singapore’s Hin Leong Trading (Pte) Ltd, which shocked lenders after instances of financial trouble were laid bare by the coronavirus crisis.

In a joint statement issued on Tuesday, DBS Group DBSM.SI and Standard Chartered STAN.L said they are leading a group of 12 other banks in Singapore to create and conduct a central database to access trade transactions financed across banks.
