| money

Federal investigators say a Coppell man fraudulently applied for dozens of federal stimulus PPP grants and received more than $17 million that he spent buying real estate and luxury cars such as a Bentley and a Corvette.

A coalition of federal agencies charged Dinesh Sah, 55, of Coppell, with applying for $24.8 million in PPP loans for 15 businesses that claimed to have more than 500 employees, but in fact, many of the businesses were registered after the CARES Act was passed and did not have any employees, according to court documents detailing the indictment.

“Mr. Sah exploited this terrible pandemic for personal gain – and he should be held accountable to the American people for that behavior,” said U.S. Attorney Erin Nealy Cox in a statement. “COVID-19 has devastated the finances of hardworking business owners across the nation. PPP funds should be reserved for those who really need them

Two drug addicts have been jailed for fatally attacking a “very lonely” pensioner as they tried to get money from him.

Class A user Hannah Day, 29, of Ashford, Surrey, had befriended 75-year-old Weymouth resident John Cornish and managed to manipulate £30,000 from him over several years, Dorset Police said.

She visited his home with Aaron Brown, 39, another drug user, on 6 September 2019 and, seeking money for their habit, attacked Cornish, leaving him with 42 injuries.

A court heard Day and Brown had sex in his house while the pensioner lay dead.

The pair was found guilty of manslaughter and attempted robbery following a trial at Winchester Crown Court. Day was given 14 years in prison while Brown was sentenced to 13 years and six months.

Justice Garnham told Day: “You became

When RJ Infusino enrolled at the Illinois Institute of Art’s Schaumburg campus in 2015 after graduating high school, he thought he was starting on the path to a career in audio production.

Even when his experience wasn’t quite what he expected — the campus consisted of a few floors in an office park, instructors would sometimes show up extremely late to class — Infusino pressed on, thinking he could at least use the experience and equipment to learn skills that would help him land a job. And the school was promising to help set him up for a career.

Then one day in 2017, with less than a year left to graduate, officials announced that the school had been sold to an organization Infusino had never heard of. “At the time, I’m crazy stressed, trying to look at jobs, trying to look at things going forward,” Infusino, 24, recalled.

Prosecutors alleged he fatally stabbed his parents, Joel Guy Sr., 61, and Lisa Guy, 55, and dismembered their bodies in a plot to cash in on $500,000 in life insurance benefits after learning they were planning to retire and no longer pay his bills.

Joel Guy Jr. had never held a job and had been taking college courses for a decade at Louisiana State University, The Knoxville News Sentinel said.

He was found to have taken money from his parents’

Breaking News

One of the closest people to President Trump has tested positive for COVID … his “body man.”

Nick Luna serves as Trump’s personal attendant and he too has the virus. Luna has been by Trump’s side both at The White House and when the President travels. He’s always close to the President — think personal valet only a lot more involved in the day-to-day.

It gets complicated … Luna married Cassidy Dumbauld this year. She’s an assistant to Jared Kushner. Get the picture?

Luna now joins a growing list of the 27 White House-related coronavirus cases, which now includes Donald Trump, Melania Trump, Hope Hicks, Kellyanne Conway, Chris Christie, Sen Mike Lee, Sen Thom Tillis, Sen Ron Johnson, Ronna McDaniel, John Jenkins, Bill Stepien, and now Nick Luna.

As for Trump, his condition remains a mystery. The White House physician, Sean Conley, painted an inaccurate

“Will you shut up, man”: First debate between Biden and Trump devolves into personal jabs

September 30, 2020

President Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden sparred during the first presidential debate Tuesday – and the men did not mince words while facing off on several issues. Neither the president or former vice president were afraid to make personal jabs or call each other names as moderator Chris Wallace of Fox News dolled out questions on coronavirus, the economy and racial issues.

“Will you shut up, man?”

Biden became exasperated with Mr. Trump’s interrupting several times – and actually asked the president: “Will you shut up, man?” The comment came after Biden tried to answer a question about the Supreme Court and Mr. Trump talked over him.

Wallace also had to ask Mr. Trump to stop interrupting. “Mr. President, I am a moderator of this debate and I would like you to let me ask my question and then you can answer,” Wallace said.

A few minutes later,

Dear Abby: Man uses family gas money to buy birthday party tattoo

September 30, 2020

DEAR ABBY: My family just came back from a relative’s after a weekend visit. The occasion was a birthday party, and he had a tattoo artist come over. My boyfriend — the father of our 14- and 3-year-olds — spent our last $100 and went ahead and got himself a tattoo! We aren’t rich, and we had to borrow money for gas to get home.

I think he is the most selfish person on the face of the planet, and I get mad at him for every other little thing now. I can’t imagine many adult men would do that to their partner. I know a few who would even say, “No, Honey, YOU get something. I can wait.” Is there any hope for mankind? — MARK OF DISASTER IN WASHINGTON

DEAR MARK OF DISASTER: There is plenty of hope for mankind; for the father of your 14- and 3-year-olds,
