Ex-TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer, Former Disney CFO Tom Staggs & Shaquille O’Neal Join Forest Road SPAC For Media M&A

There’s a SPAC born every minute – today a new one called Forest Road Acquisition registered with the SEC to raise $250 million and hunt for media and entertainment deals with executives and advisors from former TikTok CEO Kevin Mayer and former Walt Disney CFO Tom Staggs to basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal.

SPACs, or special purpose acquisition vehicles, proliferate when there’s more money floating around than there are places to invest for various reasons — now that’s mainly COVID.

The SPAC is a shell company of film financing firm Forest Road. Harry Sloane and Jeff Saganksy, formerly of MGM, done a half dozen SPACs over the years. Playboy just launched one last week. They raise cash from investors to go public in a kind of modified IPO and buy companies in any sector they like.

They’re officially called “blank check” entities so investors need to trust they know what they’re

Car insurance UK: Road users can ‘cut the costs’ and reduce monthly premiums with this tip

Car insurance customers could secure top savings if they are registered on the electoral roll as companies could view this as a sign of stability. Experts at uSwitch claim that simply appearing on the electoral roll can add up to 50 points on your Experian credit score.

Credit history is vital for insurance policies with those showing poor scores more likely to male claims on a policy.

Because of this, costs are traditionally higher for those with poor credit ratings meaning bringing this score down is vital to secure affordable terms.

Experts at uSwitch claim that signing up to the electoral roll is one of the easiest ways to instantly boost credit ratings which will run down to premium costs.

uSwitch spokesperson Florence Codjoe said taking some simple steps could see drivers “cut the cost” of their policy.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A developer plan to add 30 new apartments in two buildings on both sides of an inclined industrial road on the southern end of the Duck Island section of Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood.

The “Cooper Flats” buildings will include 18 apartments in one building on one side of Willey Avenue, with 12 additional units in a building across the road. The winding industrial roadway, which also includes the Fairmount Creamery building and Cleveland Animal Protective League to the northeast, is one of several ways residents can travel between Duck Island and what many consider the main section of Tremont.

Developer Matt Berges, who has built housing throughout Duck Island, sees the cluster of apartments as an opportunity to better connect the area to the rest of Tremont .

“It’s helping to link our efforts in Duck Island down to the connection point in Tremont,” he said.

He hopes

The coronavirus brought the global economy to a practical standstill and led to a spike in unemployment. However, financial markets have recovered from their lows shortly after the pandemic initially materialized. The Dow Jones (DIA) hovers around 27,000, and is practically Y/Y. Stimulus measures from policymakers have helped provide funds to millions of Americans displaced by shelter-in-place policies. Monetary policy has also kept financial markets afloat.

GE stock is down over 30% Y/Y, lagging broader markets. After hiving off attractive assets over the years, the company has few catalysts left. Airlines are in survival mode and have sharply reduced orders for the company’s commercial aircraft engines. In Q2, GE’s industrial operations reported revenue of $15.9 billion, down 25% Y/Y. Power, Renewable Energy, Aviation and Healthcare each reported revenue declines. Industrial reported a segment loss of $365 million, down from a segment profit of $2.3 billion in the

May 4, 2020

| insurance

In a perfect world, every auto driver would operate his or her vehicle responsibly without the need to worry about the next car’s inappropriate or dangerous driving. Unfortunately, life is far from perfect and the roads can be an extremely perilous place for everyone that shares it. Fortunately, there is insurance that protects us from the very real likelihood of accident occurrence.

Road rage is the term used for people who get behind the wheel when they are angry or upset and drive in an aggressive manner, venting their frustrations where they should not be vented, causing mayhem, disorder, fear and damages.

For the driver that fits into this category, insurance will not protect them from an ensuing claim or lawsuit. Insurance companies have designed their policies so that coverage is there for liability in the event an unintentional mishap occurs. In the case of road rage, the lack of … Read More
