Watching this personal trainer is like doing a workout class with your BFF

As a personal trainer, I’m often asked, “How do you get your booty?” But exercise for me is about feeling good, not trying to be thin. A good workout for me is measured by how I feel afterward, not how many calories I burn.

That’s why I immediately liked QiQi, a certified personal trainer and the founder and creator of “The Qii to Fitness.” With almost 400,000 followers on Instagram, she’s making waves in the health and fitness world with her personalized style and down-to-earth approach to fitness and body image. Her focus is on working out to feel strong and healthy — she even wrote in her bio on Instagram that her thighs aren’t going anywhere!

I started following QiQi on Instagram and YouTube to put her training style to the test. Her workouts focus on strength training and HIIT to get your heart rate up and build muscle.

Ask Amy: Young personal trainer who cold-cocks lover’s husband at work surprised he gets fired

October 2, 2020

Dear Amy: I am a personal trainer in my early 20s. I have been hooking up with a woman (almost 40) for the past few months, two or three times a week. Her husband found out about us. Yesterday, he called the gym where I work and also called my mother and told her I was sleeping with his wife. My mom is furious. Then he came after me at the gym.

I told him to calm down, but he took a swing at me and we fought. I knocked him out cold. He was out cold for about five minutes on the floor.

The manager at the gym fired me for fighting. I think it was wrong of the manager to do that, as I was only defending myself.

Now I’m wondering how to get my job back. I talked to my lady friend and she told me her

I talked to my lady friend, and she told me her husband is home in bed with a couple of broken ribs and a headache. He couldn’t go to work today.

How can I get my job back?

Well Trained: “My mom is furious” is a sign that you aren’t grown up enough to shoulder the burden of being a true badass. I hope you wise up.

I think you are very lucky that you weren’t arrested for assault. Your manager was justified

The manager at the gym fired me for fighting. I think it was wrong of the manager to do that, as I was only defending myself.

Now I’m wondering how to get my job back. I talked to my lady friend and she told me her husband is home in bed with a couple of broken ribs and a headache. He couldn’t go to work today.

How can I get my job back?

WELL TRAINED

A. “My mom is furious” is a sign that you aren’t grown up enough to shoulder the burden of being a true badass. I hope you wise up.

I think you are very lucky that you weren’t arrested for assault. Your manager was justified in firing you. Your behavior put this business (and other patrons) at great risk.

I would not want to attend a gym where a trainer regularly hooked up with a married

Sole Witness Who Heard Cops Announce Themselves in Breonna Taylor Raid Changed His Story

This week, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron made the bombshell announcement that the cops who fatally shot Breonna Taylor would not be charged with killing her, calling their use of force in the March raid “justified to protect themselves.”In that justification, he said that one witness corroborated the three officers’ insistence that they knocked and identified themselves at Taylor’s Louisville home while executing a search warrant in connection with a narcotics investigation. It contradicted claims from Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenny Walker, and 11 other residents, who said they didn’t hear the cops announce themselves. Instead, Walker thought he was being burglarized and fired a warning shot that triggered a tragic chain of events. But, according to documents and audio obtained by VICE News on Saturday, that sole witness initially told investigators days after the March

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s personal trainer picked a unique way of paying homage to the late justice at the U.S. Capitol Friday: He dropped down and did pushups next to the casket.

Bryant Johnson trained Ginsburg, who died last Friday at 87, for 21 years.

Lawmakers and staff visited the late justice’s casket this week as Ginsburg lies in state at the Capitol. She was the first woman to do so.

The liberal icon became famous for her strict workout routine, and throughout bouts of cancer and other illnesses, Ginsburg was known to meet with Johnson for hour-long sessions. She first began working with him in 1999, and has called him  “the most important person” in her life.

In 2017, Johnson wrote a book entitled, “The RBG Workout: How She Stays Strong…And You Can Too!”

Bryant Johnson, the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s personal trainer, dropped to the ground in front of her casket and performed three push-ups to honor her at the U.S. Capitol on Friday.

Johnson, who Ginsburg has called a “very important part of my life,” worked with the justice for more than 20 years. The duo became workout partners in 1999 after Ginsburg received treatment for colorectal cancer, the Associated Press reported. It was, in fact, her husband who triggered her drive to stay fit and rebuild her strength.

At the time, another judge referred Ginsberg to Johnson, an Army reservist and trainer. Since their first meeting, Ginsberg committed to working out twice a week with Johnson, and over the years, the “Notorious RBG,” who often touted the benefits of a good workout, became well-known for her exercise regime.

Following Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing last Friday, tributes from around the world have poured in celebrating the extraordinary achievements of the Supreme Court justice and longtime champion of gender equality. This morning, Ginsburg received a more formal send-off at the U.S. Capitol. Beginning with a moving ceremony that saw a bipartisan group of female senators take to the Capitol steps to bid her farewell, Ginsburg became the first woman and Jewish person to lie in state, a tradition stretching back to Abraham Lincoln in which distinguished citizens have their caskets transported to the central rotunda of the U.S. Capitol building for the public to pay their respects.

Yet, as is so often the case, the most touching odes to her life and legacy came from those who knew her best. Ginsburg’s personal trainer, Bryant Johnson, went viral this morning thanks to the unexpected tribute he paid to his close friend.

Following the ceremony for the liberal icon at the US Capitol, Bryant Johnson went to pay his final respects to Ginsburg, who he had trained for more than two decades.

Pausing before her casket as it lay in the National Statuary Hall, Johnson dropped and did three push-ups with perfect form.

Johnson, an Army reservist, was Ginsburg’s personal trainer since 1999 after she underwent surgery for colorectal cancer.

He was among Ginsburg’s family, friends and US lawmakers who attended the ceremony for the legendary jurist at the US Capitol.
